Meeting the Family

It always exciting to do a commission that includes my own ponies, but there can be a certain difficulty in maintaining the balance between fulfilling the commission and making sure not to go against my boys' characters.

Here, Sunny has brought her son, Abner, to meet his father for the first time. Mendacious loves kids, particularly his own, but Mendacity isn't happy. It pretty common knowledge that Mendacity's never been fond of his first-born. Yet, when Mendacious asked his father to join him in the garden for lunch, he did come. (though, really, it would've been his mother, Calignosity, that he would've asked to join him, if anyone)

At this point Abner has his lip scar, but he hasn't yet lost his eye, or his baby fat. <3
